How to check a company in Israel (official sources)

Short answer. The official source is the Registrar of Companies (Ministry of Justice), Corporations Online. Start there, then check what a register does not show.

Where. Registrar of Companies (Ministry of Justice), Corporations Online: https://ica.justice.gov.il/IcaSite/company-search

What you can see for free. Company search results show corporation number, name, company type and corporation status. The registrar states the information is provided free of charge to the public and may be missing, inaccurate or out of date.

Steps.

  1. Search by name or corporation number.
  2. Check status and company type.
  3. Compare name, number and address with what the other party gave you.
  4. Allow for lag between a change and the record.

What the register does not show. A registry record does not verify business activity, creditworthiness or sanctions status, and it is not a news check.

What a Dutiful report adds. For Israel: registry profile, company type, status and incorporation date, the violating-company flag, the last annual report filed, and address from the official register. Officers, owners, charges and financial figures are not covered. Plus a sanctions screen (OFAC SDN and UK Sanctions List) and a public news and web scan, with sources. Sample: /sample.
