A Dutiful Company Report combines registry facts, officers and ownership where published, a company-level sanctions screen, and a news and web scan. Every finding names its source. What could not be checked is stated in the report, not smoothed over. You can check coverage for a specific company free before paying.
Registry profile. Facts such as legal name, registration number, status, registered address and filings where the relevant source publishes them. Available fields differ by country. Check the country-specific coverage before paying.
Officers and ownership, where published. Directors and officers, and ownership records, where the official register makes them public. The UK's persons-with-significant-control register is one example of an ownership record a register can publish. Some registers publish little or none of this; where that is the case the report says so.
Sanctions screen. A company-level, name-only screen of the OFAC SDN and UK Sanctions List. EU and UN lists are not screened. Similar names can produce false positives, and name-only checks can miss matches; no match is not clearance or a compliance determination.
News and web scan. A scan across public web and news sources, with links so each item can be read at the source.
The report structure also includes a "what we could not check" section and a source list with retrieval dates; see the sample reports for the published format.
The current published coverage list is limited to 12 registries: United Kingdom, France, Norway, Finland, Czechia, Estonia, Slovakia, Latvia, Israel, Cyprus, Canada (federal corporations only) and the United States (SEC reporting entities only). Support for a specific entity must be checked.
Registers record what companies file. A report can confirm what the official sources say and flag gaps or concerns; it cannot prove a company is reliable or safe to do business with. These checks do not guarantee reliability.
The free coverage check shows whether a matching entity is found in a supported registry and the country-specific coverage stated for the report, before any payment. A full report costs $3.00 USDC on Base, paid with one wallet signature; the payment step is separate from the coverage check.
